Security Consultant for Integrated Security/Card Access System

Faith Group partnered with the Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC) to conduct a comprehensive security assessment and develop a master plan addressing the 150-acre, downtown Denver campus’ overall security program. The plan encompassed video surveillance, intrusion detection, and access control systems, along with related security operations, policies, and procedures. AHEC is the home to three distinct higher education institutions – the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver.

The campus’s security systems at AHEC play a vital role in supporting daily operations, ensuring safety, and enhancing the overall experience for students, faculty, and visitors. Faith Group evaluated existing infrastructure, policies, and procedures to create a cohesive strategy for a more efficient and integrated security environment. Recommendations included consolidating various existing access control systems and ensuring proper integrations with other critical technologies such as emergency notification, event management, and key management systems.

As part of the assessment and planning process, Faith Group collaborated with stakeholders from Housing, Facilities, Parking, and Police to identify challenges, gather requirements, and develop actionable solutions that strengthen AHEC’s overall security program and support its mission of providing a safe, inclusive learning environment.
