As part of a NAVFAC Atlantic contract, Faith Group provided support on several task orders for design of new audiovisual (AV) systems at U.S. military facilities. Project P-313 included design of new AV systems for 12 conference rooms, training spaces, and break rooms within the aircraft maintenance hangar and Tactical Operations Flight Training (TOFT) facility at the Naval Station in Rota, Spain. Project P-810 included design of new AV systems for seven conference rooms, training spaces, and break rooms within the Explosive Ordinance Detection (EOD) Boat Shop at the Naval Station in Rota. Project P207 included design of new AV systems for Hangar 14 at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County, MD.

The AV systems included digital displays, overhead speakers, voice and teleconferencing, tabletop AV, and the supporting networking and cabling. Faith Group provided a Certified Technology Specialist-Designer (CTS-D) to develop and stamp all AV design drawings and performance specifications, per project requirements.

Staff coordination was a somewhat unusual challenge with this project as design personnel were located across the globe, and Faith Group required direct design coordination with architectural, electrical, and telecommunications teams. Additionally, two of the projects required Spanish translation to be bid out to local contractors around the base, and Faith Group worked closely with these translators to ensure design intent and project technical requirements were not lost in language translation.
