On October 9th, Saint Louis University (SLU) held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new 25,000 sf. O’Loughlin Family Champions Center, which is adjacent and connected to the Chaifetz Arean. This new facility will serve as a hub for the 400+ student-athletes to take steps for success in both their athletic and academic performances.
Faith Group worked closely with architect Hastings + Chivetta, SLU, and the Design-Build Construction Team to provide engineering and commissioning services for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for the new three-story addition. The project is in the process of seeking LEED accreditation, and Faith Group is supporting that effort, performing services in line with USGBC LEED Enhanced Commissioning v4.
The development was secured through 100% private funding, with the primary donation coming from the CEO of Lodging Hospitality Management, Bob O’Loughlin, who was in attendance, along with donations from numerous other individuals.
