Data Center Move Support

To accommodate a new research building, the St. Jude’s data center needed to be moved. Faith Group coordinated two parallel construction projects and the data center move to meet an aggressive timeframe. In concert with the construction projects, existing equipment was moved off of legacy networks to improve network security and adhere to network operations standards.

The firm provided staff augmentation, project leadership, and coordination among Information Services (IS) delivery groups for the legacy network remediation. Staff coordinate groups on-site, gathered data, and performed necessary research. For the two parallel construction projects, the firm’s Project Manager (PM) acted as the owner’s representative for IS, monitoring requirements and scheduling impacts during the construction and commissioning phases of the projects, by interfacing with the Design and Construction staff. Finally, the PM had a liaison role providing coordination for the data center move by monitoring and reporting on this critical path as it related to the other projects, other delivery partners, and the overall timeline.
